Me in a nutshell:
I am a plant ecologist in the Department of Botany and Plant Pathology at Oregon State University. I have been at OSU since 1987, and have been involved in research, teaching, and program administration. I was Director of the Environmental Sciences Undergraduate Program at Oregon State for many years. I have taught various classes over my time at Oregon State, with one of the longest-running being BI 301, Human Impacts on Ecosystems. I will retire in spring of 2014 with emeritus status. I am married to Bruce McCune, who is also on the faculty in Botany and Plant Pathology. Outside of work, my passions include my family, my gardens, and playing in the great out-of-doors. This site provides information on my research and on some of the other aspects of my life.
